SDG–NDP III Alignment: Uganda has mapped all 17 SDGs to the Third National Development Plan (NDP III) programme areas, ensuring every SDG target is reflected in national planning, budgeting and monitoring frameworks.
1No Poverty

End poverty in all its forms everywhere. Uganda targets reducing multidimensional poverty from 39.7% to below 20% through inclusive economic growth, social protection programmes and targeted interventions for vulnerable groups.

End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition. Uganda is investing in agricultural modernisation, climate-smart farming, and nutrition programmes to combat malnutrition and food insecurity.

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Key priorities include reducing maternal and child mortality, combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, and strengthening health systems.
